Self-care is more than thinking positive. Especially if you have high levels of responsibilities, tense situations, fear, past or current trauma, grief and loss. Your body needs specific interventions to destress - unwind - relax.

Learn in an educational and supportive group of 8-10 people. How to relieve stress and strong emotions with specific scientifically based mind body techniques. These will allow you to release & process difficult events or memories with more ease and confidence.
Many different techniques are taught, including: Breathing, guided imageries, active meditation, mindful eating & nutrition, biofeedback - Autogenics, drawing, writing, Movement & Exercise, ancient and modern practices from many different places in the world.
The science behind each will be explained along with the opportunity to practice and process each activity within a confidential safe group how to practice each. This is considered an educational group, not psychotherapy.

The group facilitator, Deb Marinos MS, CRC, LPC Intern (supervised by George Olson, LPC, NCC) has completed two intensive professional training experiences within the last year. The workshops were presented by the Center for Mind Body Medicine Faculty including Dr. James S. Gordon.
